Personalized Yoga

Yoga recognises that health is determined by a complex network of interrelating factors such as diet, genetics, environment, lifestyle factors and relationship networks.

Often when we are trying to discover the source of a particular health concern, or to understand how to manage an existing problem better, we need to delve into these other areas. Yoga Life Coaching offers us some practical suggestions on how we can adapt our existing habits to promote better physical, mental and emotional balance.

Our one-on-one or small groups consultations involve assessment of your current mental, emotional, social, and spiritual state of being.

Yoga asana, meditation, and pranayama (breathing practices) will be tailored to you needs and goals to support you and shift your mindset and health, along with recommended daily routine and self-care practices.

Hatha Yoga & Gentle Flow

This class is for those seeking a slower paced focused on strength and alignment. Gently flow through sun salutations and postures as you tune in and connect to your body through movement and breath, while consciously listening and feeling into the body’s needs.

This is a nourishing and nurturing class perfect for beginners, aimed to settle the body, mind and nervous system and introduce you to the foundation of Yoga.

Yin Yoga

Combining fascial release and stimulation of the meridian lines while tapping into the seasons and elements to cultivate balance and calming of the nervous system.

Poses are held for 2-5 mins and props are heavily used to enable us to relax as we find our edge in each pose.

Meditation

Through conscious breathing, deep relaxation and guided meditation techniques you will begin to cultivate calm, increase focus, decrease fatigue, boost immunity and gradually discover a whole new range of inner potential.

Restorative

This practice provides a space for the body to let go of deep holding patterns that cause muscle and joint pain as well as physical and mental tension.

Postures emulate the forms of more active poses such as back bends, forward bends, twists and inversion and with the support of blankets, blocks and bolsters both body and mind come into a a state of deep relaxation and centeredness.

Beneficial for recoveries from injury, illness, surgery, headaches, insomnia, respiratory and digestive disorders, menopause, and emotional issues such as anxiety and depression.

Initial consultation

This initial session will help to understand your tendencies. We will learn about your constitution. This will be a discovery session about your short and long terms health (digestion, elimination, sleeping patterns). Mental and emotional patterns and how we react to stress and the environment.

Depending on your location, we’ll meet either in person, over the phone or online (video chat options available) to discuss your particular needs and goals. I will then create a program that I believe will be best suited to you, which will consist of home yoga practices and regular check-ins will keep you on track and ensure the program is still best suited to your personal needs and goals.
